Top companies hiring August 2020

Looking for something new this summer?

Things might be a little bit different this year, especially when it comes to working through the COVID-19 crisis. But just because we’re still getting used to the ‘new normal’ of our everyday lives, that doesn’t mean that there aren’t great opportunities out there for anyone looking for work. You just need to know where to find them.

Spoiler alert: it’s on reed.co.uk

To help get you started, here are just five great companies searching for staff right now:

Care UK

Care UK is one of the UK’s leading independent providers of health and social care services – running hospitals, treatment centres and care homes all across the country.

The work they do is absolutely vital in ensuring millions of people have access to adequate healthcare. Which now, more than ever, could literally be the difference between life and death. It’s also meant taking on extra risks to help those affected by, or vulnerable to, COVID-19.

But they can’t do it on their own.

They’re looking for hundreds of staff members right now, with Registered Nurses and Care Assistants particularly in demand. They also have a range of roles in areas such as admin, HR, finance and more. So even if you’re not a healthcare professional, you can still help make a difference.

If you’re ready to join the fight, apply for a role with Care UK today.

Locations: Throughout the UK.

Interserve

Since being set up in the late 1880’s, Interserve have come a pretty long way.

They’re now known globally as leaders in security and infrastructure, providing advice, design, construction and support services for companies all over the world.

They also helped support the government in their response to the pandemic, hiring more than 1,000 members of staff in facilities management to back-up the NHS and new Nightingale hospitals. And they’re not slowing down their recruitment any time soon.

In fact, they’ve got hundreds of roles on offer throughout August, including positions in health & medicine, engineering, construction, security, customer service and more.

Jobs are available up and down the country too, so no matter where you’re looking for work, they’ve got you covered.

Mortgage Advice Bureau

It’s official: demand for UK property is on the rise.

Due in part to Chancellor Rishi Sunak’s stamp duty holiday, announced in July, it’s meant that more and more people are looking for new homes right now. Which for the vast majority, means getting mortgage advice from someone you can trust.

That’s where you come in.

The Mortgage Advice Bureau (MAS) are looking for Mortgage Advisors to fill roles right across the UK – with some positions based in-branch, and some being advertised in a full working from home capacity.

Previous experience is preferable, but not necessarily essential, with training and support provided as part of the onboarding process. And with the potential to earn anywhere up to £60k per year if you hit your targets, now could be the perfect time to get onto the property ladder when it comes to your career.

Finally, a job you can call home.

Superdrug

New morning routines, now available at Superdrug

As one of the UK’s largest health and beauty retailers, Superdrug are committed to delivering the BEST to all of their customers. That means the right product, in the right place at the right time; offered at unbeatable cost, through a skilled and committed set of staff.

The problem is, with over 800 stores, that skilled and committed set of staff makes up around 14,000 people. Which means hiring the right team members is never far from their agenda.

They’re currently recruiting for all the retail roles you might expect, as well as jobs within marketing, beauty therapy, FMCG and tech. But what’s in it for you?

Well, for a start, they’re big believers in CSR. For example, all of their Own Brand products are certified by Cruelty Free International, in a bid to fight against animal testing. They’ve also just launched a campaign to combat any aggression used towards staff, adopting a zero tolerance policy on anti-social behaviour in all of their stores.

Add to that 30% off Superdrug products (and 10% off everything else) for both yourself and family and friends, and it’s easy to see why working for Superdrug could be the perfect fit for you.
